Thinking Out Loud Series #8
"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart" Hebrews 4:12
Take a listen. Do you hear it beating? Can you see its consistent rhythm? Yes, you are right-it is your heart. Don't be surprised, but there is a problem-it is abnormally small. I'm not sure this should be happening. Are you certain you can hear it thumping in your chest? If not, maybe you need to more closely observe what is happening within the realm of your inner being. You and "jingle jangle" inside need to chat-seriously chew the fat, as they say. Give it some time. Make a wise decision (as Mr. Owl does), and proceed into another sphere where the heart can enlarge in size, pump healthier, and stay balanced. Listen carefully-can't you hear that slight thump, thump, thump? You're kidding; you hear it only every so often? Can that be right? Hearts keep the human body alive; you are not dead already, are you? Oh, gracious me ...
Life has hurled you a hard ball and it hurt you really bad. Can the hole in your heart be repaired? Do you want the hole healed? These questions float in and out of my brain almost on a daily basis. Sometimes I have the energy to say, "Yes," be healed! And other times, I just don't seem to care and the heart becomes even smaller. Life continues to tick along one beat at a time. The heart is programmed (ahead of creation) to beat only so long, then it will stop and the arms of death will envelope you and take you to another place-like it or not. When you get there will you be happy that your heart had stayed so small? Probably not, but it will be too late to do much about it. A serious thought to ponder.
We are told while here on planet earth to live by faith, but once we die there is no need for faith anymore as we have already arrived at our destiny forever-ETERNITY-hard to envision, that is, to the point of understanding in the finite minds that operate our beings day after day. Our home in eternity will be special for those who chose Jesus Christ and found the righteous path to move forward while here on earth. It is Jesus in life that can enlarge the heart and change the attitudes of people causing God's plan to come together in their individual lives. Where are you at spiritually? Where do you want to be at concerning the things of the Lord? Do you know how to get there? Have you ever heard of the Bible? Open its pages ...
"Seek the Lord while He may be found-
call upon Him while He is near..." Isaiah 55:6.
Everything in us stirs the heart one way or the other. Good things cause inner joy and outer excitement. Bad things cause pain, anxiety, stress, and health issues to develop. We become literally sick and the devil (which I like to refer to as 'the little d') figures here is a great opportunity to grab us, and before you know it we are discouraged and have diverted off the road to a different path and feel totally lost and alone. Our heart continues to shrink in size-not beneficial to our overall being, my friend. Wouldn't it be better to turn our concerns, headaches, heartaches, pain, stress, and anxiety over to the Lord's control, as He is the only one who can really do anything about it? Agree?
Better days are coming-actually just around the corner. Look daily for the favor of God on your life. We have a right to expect it from Him. He loves to take care of His own. There is nothing He would not do for us. Now that is positive thinking in full force! Makes you excited just to think about it, doesn't it?
CALLING ALL HEARTS! Keep your doors open to life's possibilities. One just never knows when the right thing is on your doorstep. Expect God's favor to blossom your buds, enlarge your vision, and give way to your heart becoming healthier each day. By faith-it can and will happen! There is always hope that hearts will get bigger and be ready to pump your blood faster through your veins and in a more efficient way each day of your life. Are you up for the challenge of increasing your heart size? Hearts do come in all sizes, but healthy hearts are balanced and maintain blood going through the veins evenly and consistently as they move about each day. Small hearts are a sign that something is wrong and the inward parts need attention-go ahead and grease up at The Heart Center USA! It operates 24-7 all year long.
It would be awful to see you shrink away to nothing.
